i can't find my friend id within the friend tab is there another way to get it?

Yes, as soon as you launch TCG Pocket, you can click the "small circle icon" at the top of the app that shows whatever you selected as your player icon is. From there, your Friend ID is listed in the top right corner, you can also copy it to your phone's clipboard by simply tapping the symbol right next to it.
