If we can't trade above 1*, can we at least get better things to do with duplicates?

The flairs for 2 star and above aren't rewarding, and there aren't enough cool things to purchase via special shop tickets, so it seems very punishing to open duplicates of high rarity cards. Perhaps being able to exchange for pack points at a reduced rate?
Personally I'd prefer just being able to trade duplicates regardless of rarity, even if it also cost some additional currency, but I understand the monetization model of wanting to keep players cracking packs.
Please give players more options for duplicates beyond just flairs and restricted trading.
