Weakness/type bug

I was playing a Giratina Vstar deck, and had my cramorant up, I was using the move that does 110 damage to the opponent's Centiskorch V, this would have knocked the pokemon out, being that it only has 210 Hp, but despite having no tools attatched, no special energy, or anything of any sort except two fire energy, I only dealt 110 damage. I don't know if it's just for this specific combination, but I was very annoyed that that happened. I did win, but it still really bugs me that I had to reformulate my strategy.

    Spit Innocently’s damage isn’t affected by weakness - so it doesn’t double against a water-weak opponent.
