Mathematically impossible to reach 1600 with 57% winrate
Tl;dr: the necessary calculations to explain why climbing from 1400 to 1600 within 30 days is mathematically unreasonable given the win/loss point system (-10 loss +8 win) and a very good 57% win rate.

**Subject:** Concern Regarding Climbing Feasibility with Current Win/Loss Point System
I wanted to raise a concern regarding the current rating system, specifically the win/loss point distribution, and how it affects the ability to climb reasonably within a 30-day time frame (rest of season).
Under the current system, where each win rewards +8 points and each loss deducts -10 points, I have calculated that it is mathematically impossible to climb from a rating of 1400 to 1600 within 30 days, even with a very strong win rate of 57%, which is statistically well above average.
Here is the breakdown of the math:
1. Net Points Per Game:
- At a 57% win rate, for every 100 games:
- Wins: 57 games × (+8 points) = +456 points
- Losses: 43 games × (-10 points) = -430 points
- Net Gain: +456 - 430 = +26 points per 100 games
- To climb from 1400 to 1600, I need to gain 200 points.
- If I gain +26 points per 100 games, I would need:
- 200/26=7.69 × 100 = 769 games
- Within 30 days, I would need to play 769 games to achieve this climb.
- That translates to approx 25.6 games per day.
This is simply not feasible for an average player, even one with a strong win rate. Playing over 25 games a day consistently for an entire month is unrealistically demanding, especially considering the expectation for players to balance gaming with work, studies, or other commitments.
Additionally, a 57% win rate is already considered high, meaning that even skilled players are penalized by the current point system, which disproportionately favors losses over wins. This creates a frustrating experience for players attempting to climb, as even above-average performance does not result in meaningful progress unless one can achieve an extraordinarily high win rate (well beyond 65%)
Proposal/Suggestion:
To make climbing more reasonable and rewarding for skilled players, I would kindly suggest one of the following adjustments:
1. Increase the Points for Wins: For example, changing the system to +10 per win and -10 per loss would make progress more attainable with a strong win rate.
-or-
2. Reduce the Penalty for Losses: For example, adjusting losses to -8 points to match the reward for wins.
-or-
3. Introduce a Bonus for High Win Rates: Players who consistently maintain a win rate above 55% could receive a periodic bonus to encourage and reward strong performance.
I believe these adjustments would improve the overall player experience and make the ranking system more balanced and rewarding for players striving to improve.

The only good thing that came out from this matchmaking is all the sensible players are moving to another good moba games and doesn't pay any heed to the really poor pokemon balancing and monetization
