Pokemon Unite Developers & Input Lag
I have been playing Pokémon Unite since its launch, across dozens of devices, primarily mobile and the Nintendo Switch.
I believe Timi and Tencent could be intentionally causing input delay lag in Pokémon Unite, and I'm not referring to issues related to connection, latency, device performance, or being queued on distant servers. While some individuals with agendas, such as those on subreddits or similar platforms, may dismiss or deflect concerns by claiming it’s an individual player’s issue ("Oh, I’ve never had that problem"), the reality is quite different. The widespread nature of the input lag, confirmed by many players across the USA and globally, suggests that this is not an isolated problem.
The delay is not related to the common technical problems mentioned above, and I have evidence suggesting that this lag affects a significant portion of the player base. I strongly believe that this input lag is intentional, and there may be various reasons for it—whether for financial, analytical, or other strategic motives.
If Timi and Tencent intentionally caused input delay in Pokémon Unite, the following legal issues could arise:
- False Advertising: Misleading players about smooth gameplay could violate consumer protection laws like the FTC Act by falsely representing the product.
- Breach of Contract: If the game promised responsive gameplay but introduced input lag, it could breach the Terms of Service, leading to legal claims from players.
- Net Neutrality: Deliberately throttling game data or prioritizing traffic could violate Net Neutrality laws, particularly in regions like the U.S. or EU.
- Antitrust: Manipulating gameplay to push in-game purchases or disrupt competition could violate antitrust laws by creating unfair conditions for players.
- Privacy Violations: If input delay is linked to unfair data manipulation, it could violate privacy laws like GDPR or CCPA.
I believe the Pokémon Unite developers are reflecting negatively on Nintendo's reputation.

Sad to say it but input lag is the least of our worries on pokemon unite, sure it's a pain on a high level games but too many issues they need to work on this game.

And I feel like this was AI generated.

They never listen to those... how many people submitted "issues" or "feedback" and all the devs gained from that is... let's make a 50th Pikachu skin for 1500 gems..
Only way to make any real change is where players are united in either stop playing the game, or stop spending money. The devs literally dont look at in game reports, in the forms or even in the so called "contact us".
They give you these options so you can vent off some steam and you hope they read it. But even the in-game feedback they don't listen too.
