Get a 3DS instead, also get the Pokemon games, Mario Kart 7, Animal Crossing, Mario & Luigi, and if ya can get Metal Gear Solid. I don't know many 3DS games, I would recommend the steam deck instead.

I personally prefer the 2DS. It feels much more comfortable to hold and 3D is such a waste. The portability of the clamshell design is nice, but I barely use my handhelds outside my home anyway. I already had a US model I imported back in the day and I picked up a new 3DS when I came to Japan, so I couldn't justify a third 3DS console.

Anyway, I personally recommend the Shin Megami Tensei series. It had a strong showing on the 3DS and while they are not my favourite entries in the series, I enjoyed them all well enough.

New Leaf and Wild World can be played on a 2DS (WW is a DS game, but DS games can be played on the 2DS/3DS)
