Should XP awards for PvP be reconsidered?

Without the proliferation to vet decks out of the pool of opponents you queue up for, the likely hood that you face one of the top performing decks is very likely. I do believe this could be mitigated by giving XP in a different way for PvP whether it be by progression track or giving some modicum of XP upon a PvP loss. Whatever is chosen should allow a more diverse and rewarding experience to participate in PvP.

As it stands now, there's no incentive to play anything other than high performing win-rate decks if you wish to also want to efficiently gain XP to get the level up rewards.

    Totally agree. I've mentioned it in another thread, but it would be nice if the xp was handed out by points per match. As it is right now its 15xp per win, or 15xp per 3 points. If we use that and make each point 5xp, then you could lose 2-3 but still get 10xp. This means you could also win with 4 points by taking out 2 EX's and get 20xp

    It needs to be changed for some other reward especially because the level cap it's still at level 50.

    Unless they increase the level cap, that way would be ok to reward a bit more exp as you level up in the higher levels.

    Btw giving EXP as a reward when losing will not happen... that would allow easy level up exploits.

    And EXP per point would remove the victory value… in situations where you have more points but you know you are going to lose next turn... you could concede (happens a lot of times), making the loser get more EXP than the winner... so not a good idea.

    Obviously in the scenario where someone concedes, they forfeit the match as well as their points and would-be exp, while the winner would get 15xp exactly the same as it is right now. This would promote not conceding and encourage salty players who would normally concede to stick it out and let the winner get their deserved win. It wouldn't remove the victory value it would make it better

    @Casual_casval @DoubleCure I'm not sure the theoretical XP per point scored could work while remaining fair to both players in most situations. Would probably have to based on other stats in the game, mostly time- I would think. Keeps players from insta-forfeiting and are rewarded more for sticking it out for more turns. I think that would curb turn 1-3 forfeits.

    Anyway, the game just needs a longer and more engaging reward track and mission system for any of this to really matter. Battle pass?

    Whatever happens down the road, I hope it's fun, encourages experimentation, and rewards players for just playing- not necessarily if you win or lose a match. That's the whole point.

    They officially said they are working on a Ranked Mode, that I assume will have rewards and will benefit wins.

    But as you said, in this specific mobile game I think a Battle Pass would work better, but we don't know much details yet so we will have to wait to see.
