Should I try Pokémon TCG games?

I mean since pocket has just released it’s all the rage, I’m wondering if it’s good.

I might need some detail, to actually explain how good it is. Plus it can be any tcg game.

The rules are a little different. If you don't know already, you have energy cards in the deck and a bigger bench. And you get a prize card rather than just a point when you knock out Pokémon. You need six of them, not 3.

If you want to give it a try digitally first, you can always download TCG Live. For all its issues, it is at least a way to try and play the game for free.

Another popular version is the Game Boy game. It is the original version of the game from when the TCG first launched, so some rules and the power level of cards is very different. And obviously has a very basic interface given the platform.

Alternatively, if you want to play in paper, I recommend checking your local LGS. They will have the products available and may even be willing to help teach you the game, depending on the size and type of store. At the very least you might meet people who are willing to help you out, maybe lend you some decks to try.

If you have any friends who play, it would be a good idea to ask them about it. They will probably point you in the right direction.

At the very least, learn the official rules before you start trying to play. You are already most of the way there having played Pocket, but it is still a good idea to read the rulebook.
