Does Gamefreak expect players to data mine for research purposes? I mean how would we know about mirror herb teaching egg moves or basculegion evolution?

the last one is an easy one you realize their is a missing number in the Pokedex and you try everything you can to learn about it

Basculegion evolution is completely random and there is a chances that od you Google it you will get a tutorial based on data mining. I meant more if Nintendo allows (or do they even can legalny not allow) data mining when in the same time things like that are in the game.

yes, there are so many Pokemon ROM hacks and we know everything about the game. Game freak are literally adding minutely knowable or unknowable without data mining features

Basculegion is normal compared to some other weirder evolution methods in the games (like Galarian Yamask or Galarian Farfetch'd).

I don't think there are guide books that comtains all informations. Maybe evolution- yes, but are there things like in depth moves or items effects?
