Opponent went idle with 19 minutes left on their timer and never got kicked. Ran out entire clock and game still didn't end when their timer reached zero.

That is when your connection drops. The shortest drop will trigger this but only on your opponent's turn. There seems to be some ability to reconnect on your own turn. But this is definitely a bug that needs fixing as connections can drop and change easily.
