Language selection loop on new MacBook Air
So, my 10 year old MacBook Air is on its last leg, but plays Pokemon TCG Live just fine. Bought a $650 M1 MacBook Air from Walmart and couldn't get into the game. Downloaded and installed fine, but when you open the app, the first thing it asks you is to select a language. After clicking on English, instead of connecting to the servers and asking you for your login and password, the screen turns white, then the language selection screen comes back up.
Thought, maybe the M1 is too old, too cheap, etc. Returned and bought tricked out M3. Same issue. Downloads and installs fine. When it goes to start up, it asks you to select a language. Once you click English, screen turns white, then returns you to the language selection screen.
According to old Reddit posts, this issue has been popping up for at least a year. I found one old "fix" for a related issue, but can't get it to work. Any other Mac users out there have this issue? Doesn't affect my 10 year old MacBook Air, my wife's ipad, or my daughter's ipad. You would think that this would work on a new laptop, but nope.
Already reported it to the Pokemon helpdesk. Said they were aware of the issue and investigating it. The same thing they said at least a year ago. My daughter just started collecting, so I was trying to redeem the free code cards in the packs so she could play with those digitally as well. Can't believe such a large brand would have trouble resolving an issue like this for over a year. Thank you for any help you can provide.

Yes, that's an old bug, every now and then it also happens to me when I try to login.
The support for sure is aware of it, people have been complaining about that for so so long... but so far their answer it's always that same you got.
