Expanded Support for X/Y and Black/White Cards?

So i realized that the older sets are finally in, which I am happy about being an expanded player (though not all are still in the game yet like ace spec cards). But....why can't we use these cards in Expanded yet? Even with these cards available in the game now, it is still sun and moon onward. So is this just being added later on?

Those cards have been available since day 1. They'll be playable eventually but likely not anytime soon.
