And the protagonist saw Sycamore's ancestor chasing one of board members as he race to the car into reconsidering about his expedition proposal and fund it.

I still think that Pokémon Legends Z-A could be set in the future, where a new Lumiose City is being redeveloped for people and Pokémon to coexist together, I think there could be a place underneath Lumiose like the Terarium where the biomes and each Pokémon are divided , and to be honest, I think that Unova and Kalos are the regions that have something more futuristic in their stories, so I suspect that the game takes place in the future
