Getting matched into the wrong rank

hi I'm in great all tier and I've started being matched into mostly master ball players and some high ultra ball players. That's not how ranked is meant to work, either you only play people around your rank or you gain more for winning against higher ranks and lose less for losing to higher ranks. I'm playing master ball players and winning so I should be ranking up really fast. There does seem to be some sort of elo for the latter because I only get paired against people of a much higher rank, even when I'm in pokeball. I do not want to play against new or less skilled players at all, but I do think I should be ranking up faster because of playing against the higher ranks. Also there needs to be a mute button in game cause too many people spam emotes all game and please add a way to view your entire deck in deck manager on pc

Forgot to mention the reason I brought up there seeming to be a hidden elo is that's how ranked should work and elo should decide your rank. If it's already in the game why not just make rank based off that instead of the point system that only shows how many games you've played and has almost nothing to do with showing your skill level
