Did it have Fusion Strike Energy attached? That protects the Pokémon it's attached to from the effects of abilities.1 -

The cards from Vivid Voltage have rotated and are no longer valid for standard play. You'll have to switch to Expanded to use them.1 -

Why do I not get anything for redeeming a ETB code card?
