@ThePanchamBro I never liked Ash. It doesn't have anything to do with Horizon. Ash has always annoyed me. Granted, he humored me, but I didn't actually like him. I like many of his relationships with others, but not him. Plus, we've had him for 25 years. He's gone through character development, learned who he is, who he wants to be, he's won the championship, and I think we left him in a good spot. I wouldn't mind a short series with him, traveling around each region, having fun, getting into funny predicaments, just being a kid. Plus Team Rocket. I need them. Anyways, a full season of full episodes I think would be bland since he no longer will be developing as a character.

It's not Journeys. It's nothing new. I haven't like him since season one. Indigo Plateau. I've seen his journey. Watched the boy grow. I've seen him have great wins and hard losses. I've seen them build him into a better person. A better trainer. Even if he grows up. Is unbeatable. Meets every Pokémon. That series would still be bland. It doesn't have anything to do with my dislike for him, though. It is because he doesn't need to grow anymore. We would literally just be watching a guy walk around and have fun. That sounds like a fine short series, but full length episodes of full seasons? It wouldn't be enjoyable. Mind you, though, this is my opinion. I don't have a problem with those that want Ash back. I'm just saying why I disagree.

Then why you watch Ash’s series?

Because I still enjoy the show. Just because I don't like him doesn't mean I can't like the series. I still enjoyed watching him become better. Like I said earlier, he humored me a lot, too. It had benefits. Plus, I liked his relationships with people. I loved when him and Misty would argue, or Ash and May would get excited over food, or when he would fanboy over Clemont's smarts. There were parts of him I liked, just not the whole.

Now Ash is gone, what about Liko and Roy?

Don't mind them. I don't like them but I don't not like them. They're decent. I do like watching new characters grow, however. I'm enjoying watching them discover who they are and where they are going. I don't like that you left out Dot, though. She's my favorite of the three. I like her and out of the trio I look forward to her development most. I think the change was good. And before you think it was because Ash is gone, that's not it at all. I think the change was needed because it was refreshing. New characters, new plot, new dreams, it felt good to get something that's not "Pokémon Master" and a couple side dreams from the people Ash is with. I just think the change was good to keep up engaged.

If he returns, will you care and hate it?

I wouId Just be confused on why they're bringing back a completed. I don't think I would hate it, just be a bit disappointed. I'm actually hoping that once Liko, Dot, and Roy's story is over, we get new protagonists again. I really like the switch and want them to keep that. It will keep the series fresh and new even with the same things.

Putting new protagonists for the 30th anniversary?! Very unlikely and confusing. I don't think they will do that. And besides, Ash's return is hinted that he is "still in the world". Don't you like Pokémon XY anime?

My favorite of them all, yes. Had the best animations, f1ghts, character development, and Pokémon. It wasn't because of Ash, though, but his development. Anyways, I never said for the 30th anniversary. I said once Horizons end and Liko, Roy, and Dot's stories are over, we get a fresh new protagonist. I think the 30th anniversary is this February or the next, I'm not sure, but I don't expect Horizons to be over that soon.

Anyways, @Hades0918, in my opinion, I am sure Ash will return (or cameo) sometime in the 30th anniversary revealing at 2026, then showing him in 2027. I don’t know if he will meet Liko and Roy, but as long Liko and Roy develops enough, they can finally meet Ash Ketchum without one of them being overshadowed. And BTW, I an ok Ash is no longer the main character, but I just want see him again and prove if Horizons is set in the same universe canon. I’m ok if you don’t want him back. Have a good day!
