i wish that english-speaking countries actually put some effort into teaching foreign languages in schools. i wish i was taught how to actually speak spanish or french instead of just being able to count to twenty.
im trying to learn german now, since it’s the only language that i think would be practical for me (and the grammar seems to be somewhat logical, at least when compared to english)

when i join new (small-ish) online communities, i always get scared that i’ll be treated like an outcast and that everyone would bully me behind my back. this, however, has never happened, and today was even more proof of that.
ive joined an online unofficial fangame and i was just about immediately invited to someone’s group and everyone there treated me like one of their own.
the internet can be a scary place, but if you wade through the danger, you’ll find a palace of gold.

If you plan on making a Daggerheart character, lmk and I'll help you along. Me and @clasingla(GM or Game Master) can help ya make one and answer any questions. Following is Step by Step guide. Step 1: Pick a Pokémon(anything that isn't a Legendary, Mythical, Ultra-Beast or Paradox. If you pick Garvantula, you'll start as Joltik). Step 2: It's ability(GM will Homebrew or adapt it for Daggerheart). Step 3: Starting Pokémon moves(pick two to start with that are within reason(basically anything within the first 15-20 levels of its learn set in the latest Generation it's been involved in). GM will adapt it for Daggerheart use). Step 4: Pick a Class, Class Item + Subclass(Classes, Subclass is predicated on Class choice). Your Class choice determines your Class Item(Your options are listed on the Class page. Pick one from your chosen Class). Step 5: Assign Character Traits(see Traits for a breakdown and assign as you see fit. Class page I linked has recommended Trait distribution for each class). Step 6: Pick your Community and Character Experiences. Your Community is basically where you come from(which you can peruse your options here: Community) while Experiences are basically things you can call upon to help you on a given action roll and should be shaped by your character's backstory or life experiences. A list of examples can be found here: Experiences). Step 7: Pick your Domain Cards. Domain cards are abilities or spells your character starts with and your class pick determines which Domains your character has access to. Choose two level 1 Domain cards from here: Domains). Step 8: Pick your Equipment. Equipment is basically your Weapon, Armor and starting Potion. A weapon can be 2-Handed or can do a 1-Handed weapon + Off-Hand(aka Shield) or a secondary Weapon. List of options can be found here: Weapon. Choose Tier 1 Weapon(s) and note that Warrior and Guardian classes cannot choose Magic Weapons(only Physical). For Armor, any Tier 1 option will suffice: Armor. Armor has two values of note: Major/Severe Damage thresholds and Armor score or the amount of Armor slots you will have. Armor slots are the number of times you can mitigate incoming damage. Do note that if you are a Guardian or Seraph and opt to use the Bare Bones Domain card that you do not need to pick Armor. Finally starting Potion is between a Health Potion or a Stamina Potion. Health replenishes HP while Stamina clears/restores Stress. Stress is basically the physical or mental strain your character has endured so keeping that in check is just as important as keeping your HP up.

Experiences are basically a word or phrase that you can call upon to help you during a moment or action within the Campaign. An example could be sticky fingers that could help you steal something or have strong Grappling skills. Another could be Affable or basically a friendly and approachable demeanor that can help you with befriending NPC's. Experiences basically can be whatever you want them to be. Following video explains character creation and has a small bit on Experiences:

Just as an example, my character has Affable and Healer for my experiences. Katara is friendly and rather approachable and hence she's able to befriend people rather easily. For Healer, it's a skill she's developed from being a Water bender. Not sure when she will be able to call upon it but it's nice to know that she has it in case it's needed. If an Ally or NPC suffers a grievous wound, I could help heal them with my bending(and an Oran or Sitrus Berry for good measure).

i think that your example of sticky fingers could work for my character, since it reminds me of how spider webs are sticky. ive come up with a bit of a personality for my character, she's meek and keeps a collection of unnecessary items in a hidden cave. i'd like to have the fact that she's a collector be shown with an experience, but im not sure how that could work mechanically.

note: if it seems that i am acting rude, it is probably not intentional. i am autistic and tone is incredibly hard to for me to communicate, especially through text. ive probably already said this before since i worry a lot about coming off as rude. im trying my best to be polite.
