Whodunit? A Pokémon Mystery (2)

So I decided to keep doing it just for fun. Also, none of the characters connect to each other. Same as last time, please Spoiler Block your choice and reasoning.

You groan as you walk into the police department, giving a lazy wave to the person at the front desk. You walk down the hall, yawning as you approach the interrogation room. Your boss and long time friend, Jane, is waiting for you at the door. She smiles as you approach.

"Hey," she says, shaking your hand. "How's your morning?"

"You made me come to work at 7:00 A.M on a Saturday," you say with a flat tone. Jane chuckles and nods. "This case better be good," you state, taking a sip of your coffee. You gag, nearly spitting it back out. You always forget you hate this drink.

Y'all enter the interegation room. Sitting at the table is a man. He has a dazed, half awake expression. He's moving his arms like he has wings and his mouth is moving but no words are coming out.

"Obviously his mind has been messed with," you mutter and Jane nods in agreement.

"Yeah. We found a Hypno, Malamar, and Pecharaunt in the area," she tells me. "We have them in another room. Wanna see them?"

You shake your head. "Not yet," you reply. "Do you have any info about this guy's condition?"

Jane nods. "Right here," she says, handing you a file containing everything you need to know about him.

Case;

He was reported at the park to be jumping around, flapping his arms like wings. Everyone we interrogated says he was shouting a word that begins with "M," but amongst all the commotion they couldn't tell what. The majority say it sounds like a Pokémon name. He hasn't spoke a word since we found him.

You close the case and chuckle. "The culprit is so obvious," you say with pride, taking a big drink of your coffee, only to spit it everywhere immediately.

"Who," Jane asks, looking at you with shock.

"It's..."

Who?

Is it Malamar? The Pokémon that became an internet sensation, controlling all that saw it? Is the "My Friend Malamar" trend making a comeback?

Did Pecharaunt do it? The Mochi Dance requires a whole lot of flapping, and that's exactly what this guy is doing. Maybe it was "Mochi" he was saying and people misheard.

Or possibly Hypno, which, blast to the past here, once made a mass population beleive they were Pokémon. Could they be doing it again, now intentionally?
