I swear I battle the game more then my opponent

I like this game, well…I want to like this game, it's the best way to play the tcg online with others, maybe make some friends along the way

but my goodness…it doesn't matter how much time or effort you put into building a deck when more then half the time, you can't get anything going til like turn 6

I played 3 different decks…and in those 3 different games, same issue. I didn't draw anything useful for five turns due to the game's terrible shuffling mechanic

In one game, I actually had to mulligan 3 times before the game was like "oh here's a basic"…and it's the 1 fezendipity in the entire deck. None of my other multiple basic pokemon, no…the 1 single fezendipity

And you think that your opponent is going to have pity on you? Ha, forget about it…they'll scramble to get that EX or Mega Evolution on the field because "oh heck yeah, game gave me an easy win"

Again, I want to like this game, I have only 1 other way to play the TCG and it's a long process to set it up…this is a very polished and streamlined game. But half the time I'm fighting it rather then my actual opponent

I have this happen way to often. I've actually learned to expect it after a certain amount of time.

I'll have a great deck with the perfect flow and consistent wins, but after at least two days I start having bad luck and no flow.

The game let's you win a bunch with good deck and then take away once you hit a certain point.

I've just learned to constantly replace.

    It's annoying.

I've had five games. Three different decks. All lost due to lack of getting nesseccery cards.

I kept drawing and shuffling and trying but I got absolutely nothing while my opponent's hand seems to just play out perfectly.

I even had to take a mulligan a couple times. My most recent went up to three.

    Five games in a row.

@Zerofo3384 So glad to see other players posting about this. I have literally almost word for word posted what you said. I have made a few posts about this. The MULLIGANS! Im like come on, theres no way i keep taking this many mulligans. Especially with some of the decks i build. An then its always a single copy of a support pokemon i get to start with. Then my hand, constantly start with energy retrievals, night stretcher, super rod, boss orders! All these cards i have 1 copy of to play later in match. Ill have 5 matches in a row and be dealt these cards to start with. And sometimes i get lucky after a cpl turns an pull a reshuffle , only to get the same cards dealt right back to me! Just had a match where my opponent used iono an reshuffled an then i used a reshuffle next turn and it gave me the same hand right back each time, with only a cpl cards changing.

It really does start to take the fun out of it. After playing for a long time you start to notice these patterns like @Hades0918 said, after winning some matches you will get stuck in this loop an almost know exactly what kind of hand you will start to get.

Surprised theres nobody posting "Its just rng" like they are contributing something saying that.

And this is just one of the many complaints I have with this game, the awful shuffling mechanic. My other complaints are as follows

Pre-made decks are underwhelming: no matter what…the pre-made decks will always be pitiful in comparison to other decks, you buy the pre-made decks just to add cards to your collection

Bugs and disconnects: there has been moments where I play a card like Crispin to get energy…but the game bugs out and I can only pull 1 of my different energies. Other times, my internet disconnects due to unstable networking…and it counts as me conceding. Something out of my control should not count as a loss

You have to play meta: This is my 2nd biggest pet peeve, there are some cards that are so incredibly unbalanced, that you have to play a similar deck to get around them, what's the point of deck building if I'm forced to play a similar deck just to have a chance?

I said it before I'll say it again…this is the best way to play TCG online, but it's also the most infuriating. I would use my other method of playing but, again…it takes a long time to set up

I use this game to help me deck build and I notice it gives me a lot of inconsistency compared to the decks I play in actual tournaments. At this point I'm stuck guessing whether or not my deck can even be good with how much this game limits my plays.
