Disappointed in the new format

Doesn't import the Theme Decks.

So I import from a clipboard source

Won't let me play a basic theme deck, like Relentless Flame.

All of my decks are gone of course. And it appears, the theme decks aren't playable anyway?

I am so sad. Have to find a new hobby I guess.

Theme Deck Format it's not supported by TCG Live for now, don't know if in the future will be, maybe if too many people complain about it who knows if they decide to put it back... it's not likely at all tho, they don't even fully support Expanded, but still the hope it's not completely gone.

Also as long as the cards are Sun & Moon forward you should be able to build some of the decks just for fun and play it against friends, IA or in Expanded (no chance to have fun in Expanded tho).

Anyway it's sad to see a player base going away... the Theme Deck Format was actually a very active and popular online Format, I believe many players will leave or already did because that Format is gone... it's odd that TCG Live didn't care about it, at minimum they should had replaced the Theme Format with something similar but more up to date.

Sad story but that's what we have.

I have never been able to be annoyed about theme decks being missing because mine never loads past 5/39 so I never saw

I doubt that TPCi will ever bring back the Theme Deck format for Live, theme decks themselves were discontinued theme decks back 2021 with the release of Battle Styles and those awful V/ex Battle Decks seem to have replaced them.

Indeed it's highly unlikely to have the old Theme Deck format back for the reasons you pointed out.

But it's clear that the game should have a similar "less aggressive" format for kids/beginers. The Standard/Expanded and deck building are just too overwhelming for that player base.

There are multiple people complaing about that and also saying they are leaving for the lack of that format.

The V/ex Battle Decks are not great, but a format based on those decks could be a good replacement to help the kids/beginers learn without need to build decks and since they are slower passed helps to get more familiar with game concepts... instead of go in Standard get dunked or annihilated in few turns and keep adjusting the decks as meta changes... it's too much for someone with no/low experience.
