Can't login to Pokemon Go anymore

I switched devices recently. I have been inactive on my previous device for about a year and half. But ever since I switched devices (including re-installing the whole game) I have been unable to complete the login using my Pokemon Trainer Club account (and it IS linked to the game). What the heck is going on with the game? Infinite bug loop with login?

Are You clicking New Player instead of Returning Player?
