I got outsped despite having faster stats?

Hi, everywhere I’ve read says that Mega Alakazam has a Base Speed stat of 150: I’ve used the nuggets to make sure my Alakazam’s Speed stat is at its very best too.

I was up against a Mega Mewtwo Y which has a Speed base stat of 140 yet it outsped me and won.

Can anyone explain this to me? (Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu/Eevee).

    is it a higher level? Is it having beneficial speed nature? Is it EV trained?
