[Pokémon TCG Live] Maintenance Notice

Rules Regarding Making Temporary Second Accounts for Trading

I heard some players use another device to create a new account, open packs on it, and then trade desired cards to their main account. Then, they will delete the new account. Will players doing such behavior receive bans? Can a staff member confirm if these actions are allowed?

    Official clarification would be nice to have, but I'm certain that creating new secondary account every two weeks to exploit free trial to premium subscription can lead to investigation to identify and ban the main account of the offender.

    Have no experience with Android OS emulators on PC or comparable way to run multiple instances of mobile app on Mac, that's however certainly would not be OK in case it's even possible.

    Having two f2p accounts however shouldn't be such issue, in case you use them legitimately on two phones, or phone and tablet to run the game on both, in case you have separate authenticated accounts on each device.

    I'm also 100% certain they don't have issue with people running multiple accounts with monthly paid subscription.

    I'm not referring to exploiting free trial on a second account. I'm just wondering if making second accounts on a second device for the sole purpose of trading cards to the main account, then deleting the second account, could result in penalties.

    I can't tell for sure, but simply having two accounts on legitimate devices shouldn't be problem.

    Deleting the secondary account without creating another one shouldn't be an issue either.

    I however can't tell for sure since there is section in EULA that prohibits "excessively and unnecessarily installing the application for the service on numerous devices" without proper clarification about what number they consider excessive.

    If they consider "excessive" to be "more than one", then there is an issue.

    i created one. Wow was it annoying. You redownload the the game. Make a new account. Play 5 hours to unlock packs. Then redownload the app. Then add friend. Its more trouble than its worth, cause you are redownloading a 1200 mb game. If you dont have free internet. Thats gonna ring up the check.

    I noticed the game will give you the cards you want if you look them up frequently. I was trying to get alakazam. The rare full art one. It gave it to me after 10 packs or so. The odds of getting it out of all the rare cards?! Crazy. I tried this with other cards and it worked too. But it just takes patience. Whatever deck you are trying to build. Focus on those pokemon. The algorithm will give you what you want when you have decks you are trying to build specifically. Go through pack every day. Click on the card you want. And it should eventually give it to you.
