According to the Japanese Wikipedia, some legendary Pokémon from earlier generations can appear in certain areas around Paldea when you get a snack from your mom or something? I tried to see if I could find Latias once but she didn't appear. Is this true, and can you even obtain non-G9 legendaries? I would love to have the Tao Trio on my team.

I think some NPC named Snacksworth makes some lunchboxes for Legendary Pokemon (for all the previous gens except for G6), provided you do a certain number of missions. Some of the legendaries are only found in one version, so it's best to join Union Circles with friends who have both versions. Unlocking the non-version-exclsive legendaries is a bit trickier, though. You can get the Tao trio on your team — just look up a guide first to see if you're doing it right.
