The best part about having a timid protagonist is that you get to watch them grow as a person. Plus she has all of her friends to help her out! (The Rising Volt Tacklers)

Sorry I get so heated about this; Pokemon Horizons basically granted my wish, so I love the series so much. It’s okay if you don’t. 🙂

Wait for my final review of Pokemon Horizons let alone the last 3 episodes before I make my decision.

Been watching the Gen 9 Anime. First Season of 45 Episodes wasn't half bad. Way better than the dumpster fire that Journeys was. When Horizons visits Galar and has a few Episodes with Kabu, you know it's a tacit admission that they shafted the Galar region. The Explorers are an interesting antagonist group while the Volt Tacklers give me a Star Wars Rebels vibe if that makes any sense. I suppose if there's one issue I have with Horizons is that the protagonists obtain new Pokémon at an Alolan pace(aka too slow for my liking).

I do have to wait a bit for Season 2 to come out though. Right now only the first 11 Episodes are available. UK has the next 11 that came out a week later after the first batch back in February but for us in the USA, have to wait until April 25th… ugh. That said, the trio will, in time, face all 8 Gym Leaders.

Last time I checked, Liko and the others didn't face all 8 gym leaders in Paldea.

Well… let me clarify what I meant. They will each face one Gym Leader for their aptitude test. This is early Season 2 btw, so I'm not where the Japanese dub is right now. Liko faces Katy, Roy faces Brassius and Dot faces Iono. The other four Gym Leaders make an appearance(albeit brief) along with the Elite Four(and Geeta). That alone illustrates just how poorly Journey's was executed. They couldn't even showcase Galar and all of their Gym Leaders and yet Horizons does theirs within the first 55 Episodes? Throw on top Nemona and Penny while we're at it too. No sign of Arven yet but given the story so far, I doubt he'll make an appearance in Season 2. Might come in Season 3 but we won't know that until next year. I'd hope they go and challenge the other Gym Leaders though. That way it'd give Kofu, Larry, Ryme, Tulip and Grusha more screentime since Katy, Brassius and Iono have been front and center. I'd also like to see more Team building. Having just two Pokémon respectively after 55 Episodes is rather disappointing for a Franchise built around "Gotta Catch em all".

@Lonestar85 Then it's high time that the franchise need a new catchphrase. As for the Horizons trio, I've already starting to lose interest in them post-Laqua.
