There weren't any real surprises during that presentation, but I was satisfied with what I saw.

Pokémon Champions looks to be quite a good solution to providing Pokémon battles that allow the full Pokédex and past mechanics without requiring them tp be implemented in every game.

Assuming that is what this is. If not, why separate it from the main game.

I expect they will require a Home subscription to play it. Or possibly a new super premium pass on top of that.

Z-A looks fine for now, assuming what we saw was real game footage.

The teleporting to climb onto rooftops looked very cheap and lazy with a long delay. It looked to exist only to save on a climbing animation and hide loading.

Also the characters seem to just stand around a lot. The city didn't look very lively.

The starters were an odd choice. Two Johto starters (the ones not in PLA) and Tepig from Unova. Totodile has its fans, but it almost looks like they are trying to push less popular starters. For merch purposes? Will they get mega forms?

I think it’s their way of telling us that we are not going to getting a unova or johto remake anytime soon
