There are probably concerns regarding the potential for players to be scammed out of their rarest cards, especially younger players, which will all lead to controversy and negative press.

Even worse, there is the potential for people stealing accounts and trading away the rarest cards for trash (or nothing, if possible under the system) if proper security measures are not put in place.

I suspect the developers would rather severely restrict trading to prevent such exploits and negative press, at least until the hype dies down.

Beyond that, if we seriously cannot eventually trade rare cards, the system will serve little function beyond allowing newer accounts to accure a collection of common cards from their friends with older accounts who have multiple copies.

Again, I am astonished that we get a trading system at all given how much work trading card game companies have put into eliminating the trading aspect of their games. I am betting on it being discontinued, if not quietly removed as an option from theinterface without ever being implemented.

Now we have the official announcement about the upcoming trade feature. Here are the main official highlights:

    • Trading feature is coming this month.
    • Trades can be done between friends.
    • Trades can be done with cards of the same rarity.
    • When the feature launches, only certain cards from Genetic Apex and Mythical Island can be traded. More sets will be allowed later.
    • You can only trade ◆, ◆◆, ◆◆◆, ◆◆◆◆, and ★ cards.
    • Items must be consumed in order to trade.

The previous leak was mostly correct… but this annoucement still raise some questions, particularly about the items that must be consumed in order to trade. I'm also not convinced how good is it to be limited to "friends" only… we will see soon I guess.

Disappointing. I bet they will phase out the option entirely at some point. Quicker if there is some high profile controversy involving someone's cards being scammed away or stolen.

About the items that must be consumed in order to trade, I think it's same likes flair mechanism. Likes you must have minimum 3 cards what card give to your friend for trade what card you want it. And after trading, of course your given card decrease from 3 cards to 2 cards.

Too sad that 2★ cards above can't be tradeable. Many players are unhappy about it.

Tbh I think the way trade is described for now it seems not relevant at all... by the time you can trade all ◆s rarity cards you probably already have them all or just missing very few, unless you're a new player or alt account.

And the 1★ rarity cards are nice to be tradable, but it's just for collection propose... not super relevant.

For paying players the trade as it is now, is even less relevant and for many of them like whales it's kind useless, they will probably just flair the extra cards.

In the end new players and alt accounts are the ones that benefit most from it.
