Let'sbe real, the flair system sucks
Having flair on your cards is supposed to be either a flex that you obtained extra copies of a card or an expression that these are your favorite cards.
For either case, it is really bad for one simple reason: Aside from the Pokeball flair, no one pays attention to or notices it, because the animation only plays for like half a second when the card is played. After that, it sits in play looking like a regular card.
I'm sitting on 11 copies of the promo Lapras EX. Even if it won't be tradeable (When that feature is released), I'm still not flairing it, because why?
I really hope Shinedust is the currency we will use for trading, because I for sure am NOT wasting it on flair.

i like that the flairs are hardly noticable. But I do seem to notice them being played against me so saying no one notices is just not true. I like that it's a nuanced animation but don't ask me why. The only other system I would want is maybe a borders system like in the snap game.

I would guess that you don't like noticing them because you can't handle being flexed on.

I like them! For the most part.
They’re pretty basic and seem to be randomized. One card’s first flair is another card’s last unlock-able flair. But some of them are really nice to see and add. I wish they had more specific Pokémon ones, like Pikachu’s face flair. I’ve noticed them being used a lot more now that the games been out longer.
I’m gonna assume it’s going to be one of the those things that will be enhanced as the game ages.

The one thing I dislike about flairs is that you can't pick the specific flair that you want
