Charizard ex. Its move set is like an enhanced version of Mewtwo ex. Use Moltres ex and you are DOMINATING.

i assume its all the same RNG for the game… but mannnnn i feel like i get way more tails with marrowak then any other card including misty… there have been more then a handful of games where ill flip double tails 2/3/4 times in a game while only need 2 heads for a win. i guess the lesson is choose non RNG pokemon but its fun to play all the different decks and find their specific strategy.

I found out the best way to avoid them is-

    play solo :’)

Jk, Alakazam is good against him tho

Alakazam is an underpowered counter relative to expectation because mewtwo reaches and then depletes 4 energy to 2 every single turn using gardevoir, so you never hit it at 3 or 4 energy. Alakazam is better against Charizard, Centiscorch, Venusaur, or Blastoise decks than the Mewdevoir god-build for that reason. Use Mewdevoir yourself or Pikachu Ex.

Play mewtwo gardevoir yourself. Counter decks lose to Pikachu, or vice versa. The devs have spoken, play Pikachu Ex or Mewdevoir or wait for the next drop. It's simple, nothing else wins consistently in a field with those two decks.

Its so funny to me that this has remained the most active thread. I suppose it is an intimidating deck to deal with. As others have said, the Pikachu EX deck seems to do fairly well against Mewtwo Mewtwo. I've found especially that adding Zebstrikas to the list can help to backline kill ralts early on and weak mewtwos that are retreated later.

Jinx and Alakasam don't work great due to the energy loss on Mewtwo, though there can be a 3 energy window you can exploit.

Overall, it's a top meta deck for a reason, along with Pikachu, and while it seems the Charcanine deck is the community's best answer for handling both threats, the best answer at this point is probably wait till Tuesday and use the new Mew EX to wipe out Mewtwo before it can even fight back!!

Yeah, and then we’ll get a new thread asking how to deal with Mew EX instead…

The thing is you run a deck that has only weak pokemon
