Anyone else get sad reminiscing over the old platform?
Just scanned in a ton of packs into TCGO, got no enjoyment out of it due to having to open them every 10 scans and without any suspense. Makes me want to go talk to 11 year old me and say "enjoy this while you can". So many features I loved aren't here

The new PTCGL shouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence as PTCGO. It doesn't deserve it. PTCGO was amazing. PTCGL is a mess. Pokémon Company International DO NOT CARE though and really do not care about their player base. This doesn't even regard the budget they were given. The updates they do make with the 0 budget they have are basically the opposite of what the fans want. Ugly business from TPCi.

The old client wasn't perfect, but it offered a lot of features that are swiftly disappearing from digital card game clients these days.

Yes, was a lot more fun and you really value your cards back then.
Now any random player is able to get all the top decks for free and many max rarity cards... making rarity worthless and everyone playing the same 3 or 4 decks.
At least back then we had multiple game formats where you could play very different decks in each format... now the game is just boring and no fun... I'm actually very close to quit it for good.

All the time. the old client was infinitely better. It was much more difficult to get good cards which meant that you didnt play against the same cookiecutter decks over and over as people had to make substitutes from youtube deck lists and be creative. trading was also a much more fun than the current system and the avatars werent incredibly cringe.

Sounds like some people here liked gatekeeping…

@Derailed_J1RG What are you talking about? Who is gatekeeping in this thread? What are they gatekeeping?
I mean, I do like gatekeeping. Always gatekeep your hobbies.
But who is doing that in this thread?

@TheJeffers I was talking about the PTCGO in which not everyone could easily get the cards they wanted. Not the thread.
