Both top tier decks are non RNG

Just wanna say this: both Pikachu Ex and Mewtwo Ex have no RNG cards. And that's the main reason both decks are top tier right now. Lower tier depends a lot of RNG to win matches. Maybe that's something that we will see in future meta.

Do you agree?

I personally hate RNG in my card games, at least as far as competitive play is concerned. In casual play or multiplayer formats it is more tolerable.

Also, humans tend to only remember negative outcomes more than positive ones. So you remember when your opponent gets 12 heads in a row with Misty but not when the whiffed 0 heads with Zapdos.

I would argue Articuno/Starmie deck and Charizard deck are up there in the top meta decks.

Consistency is key, but in this kind of simplistic games RNG decks are great too, it makes top decks not broken and makes the meta more dynamic, otherwise more than like 90% of people would be playing the same boring couple decks as soon as they were available to them.

That's different, Poke Ball is like that because they want to make the game simplistic, so searching your deck it's something they don't want to do... it would make the gameplay slower and more complex.

When they say RNG decks they mean more significant luck based things that have high impact on winning a game... like Misty or attacks that multiply a lot of damage based on coin flips.

sometimes i have fun running a grass deck with two sets of exeggutor EX, pinsir, kangaskhan etc.. almost the whole match turns into RNG and it can be super frustrating. Ihave been setup with both ex full health and energy and continuously flip tails over and over and over. ive counted before missing on 400 damage from those two cards, almost gurantees the opponent will win because most are all the way through their deck cards by then and can fully setup their ace pokemon…

the answer to that for most people is just dont play those decks. my issue is im tired of playing the same mewtwo/gardevoir, koffing/Muk, pikachu zapdos decks. it gets old and the way other decks compare to those is mostly not fair.. which means we get 80% of all battles between the same decks and just coming down to card draws. most of the time against those decks i will know who wins or loses by maybe round 4/6. if they get set up they will win most every time
