No.
@UnovanZorua Let's be honest here, Pokemon is a pay to win company, especially the tcg.

A little bit but not overly hyped for it.
The latest IGN preview (couple days ago) really displayed a very good looking game… trade with friends, collect cards and play the cards are the core features. It really feels immersive, oh and the pack opening looks great too.
I only got 2 complains, first it's mobile only and second it's P2W.
I will try the game for sure like every other Pokemon game that exists, but probably will hit unistall couple of months later... we will see.

Why is there a TCG pocket section before it releases, but a Scarlet and Violet one after I don’t know how long it released?

@SmartySeth Perhaps the policy of making game specific forums only came about after SV released.

Yeah!
I can't wait honestly. I don't believe it'll be P2W at all. You can buy premium currency to open more packs sure but, this one isn't meant to be a replacement to TCG Live. Pocket seems to be trailing to more of a digital CCG. Other than that the currency reduces pack opening time & can be used for accessories. I read something the other day about "no way to buy the entire set" so it seems it'll just be packs. I plan on subbing to the "Poke Pass" 10 a month and get an extra pack + perks.

Yeah!
How is it P2W? I don't understand that. Reducing timers & buying accessories isn't P2W. Now if they say "You have 30 days to obtain all Genetic Apex cards or buy the complete set for 50$" then yeah I can see it being P2W but nothing of the sort has been said except being able to buy PokeGold to open more packs.

Each main set is released every 3 months and mini-sets are 6 weeks after each main set release... that’s a lot of cards, paying players will have advantage as new sets start coming up.
