I feel like activeness on the forums has decreased as of late I wonder why this is the case and if there is anything I can do to make the forums more engaging for others I have been on this forum for 9 months and I’ve seen people come and go people I have considered friends people who share a common interest in Pokémon people who leave a mark on this forum and shaped it for what it is today I wonder is there anything I can do to help people feel more welcome on the forum

I've just gotten bored of it, there isn't any interesting posts anymore, and Pokemon hasn't had any relevant news in a while.

It's probably because we haven't had any new Pokémon games or news in a while, so there aren't many interesting things to talk about.

Its just a characteristic of the internet that some people don't see these(online) relationships as anything but chit chat or purely for entertainment. It's also the case that people will get tired of growing the relationships online because they will always be just online relationships. You won't go out for a beer or party with the others. It just isn't feasible to have more fun after a certain point. I enjoy my time here and want to see other members grow as people. I can only hope others feel the same.

Maybe what we need to increase activeness is just more time. Maybe we as a people need to evolve.

Social media and forums are pretty new. I just hope we can learn from things happening online.

Hey @clasingla I made a new forum post about making some sort of community event, that could work?

That's not something members should be worried about. People that work or own it are the ones that have that responsibility.

As random members all we can do is write whatever we want as long as we follow the rules. For sure nobody is expecting us (members) to find ways to keep this active… it is what it is.

And if you ask me the forum looks active enough and even a bit better than it was when the invasion started, now there's bit less useless topics and less childish stuff (theres still a lot of garbage but fortunately less). In this case less is more.

As members, it isn't our job, though you could share it with more people if you wanted, informing in person or online both could likely help.

i kind of don't want that to happen. I don't want this forum to get plagued by the stuff that plagues the internet

i just want a place where I can talk about pokemon freely with other people who want to talk about pokemon freely.

"people will get tired of growing the relationships online because they will always be just online relationships"

You must be kidding this is 2024... apart from that, this isn't a dating platform there are better places to do that, I'm sure that's not the reason a forum like this is more or less active lol

Words themselves really don’t hold any meaning

you made an assumption without really looking at the context
