I was thinking, it's pretty hard for people to hatch a shiny Pokémon out of an egg, even with the Masuda method. The main problem is the starters. We can ONLY get shiny versions by egg hatching. Or by trading, but most of the time it's a bot, but mainly egg hatching. What if Game Freak did a really special event where we can get shiny outbreaks of the Paldean starters? I need my lilac Sprigatito.

Many things are special and desirable in part because our access to them is limited. If everyone has access to them, they cease to be special.
If everyone could get a shiny starter easily, would you want one as much?
