You do realize this is a video game and they can change the timer for tournaments. It's not like it's set in stone that because it's used for online tournaments that means that it absolutely needs short timers.

Also, an extra 15-30 seconds on the timer wouldn't be game breaking or cause significant slow down of matches. It's just 15-30 more seconds to search for a different card than the one you were looking for in your deck and time to readjust your strategy when key component cards are not available or when there is significant shifts in the board state that weren't obvious or were unlikely.

The game is a simulation of the real physical card game (especially the Standard format), they try to keep it as close as possible to the "real" rules, if they start changing rules just because a random new player thinks it's better this or that way this would be a mess…

You didn't even knew the client is used for online tournments, probably you also don't know it is used by many players that participate irl events to test decks before use them physically (almost doubling the time per action like you're asking would actually cause significant slow down of matches).

Things have been like this for ages… only a new inexperienced player would ask to increase the time between actions lol just play more… with more experience you will see it's more than enough time.

What you could ask instead of changing existing rules, would be to create a new game mode for beginners, sure there you could have bit longer timers and since you would be playing against players of the same level they would probably like the longer timer too. The "beginners" format in the previous client was the Theme Decks, it was much easier for new players since it consisted of preconstructed decks… stuff like that is what this game is missing from the new players point of view… and not changing the rules of existing well established formats like Standard/Expanded etc.

I'm not even going to comment more on this topic, not worth the time…
