Are Pokewalkers obsolete now?

It's the word itself that bothers me. I wish it didn't but it does for more than one reason, especially 'cause I'm autistic like YagoFuecoco is. :( :/ I do try my best to cope with that word, though. Sometimes it works fine, other times it does not. It depends how I manage. But also it affects me more in a way that, well, I like certain characters and stuff as higher favourites, you know? Like say Reshiram, but it often gets referred to as "pow" (oomph), which also bothers me. :( It's very rare to get the alternatives "potent" or "strong", for certain more interesting Pokemon like Reshiram. I'm OK with those two alternate words, though. Speaking of Reshiram, who I really like in general, let me offer my sentence with the alternative meanings for it instead: "Reshiram is known to be very potent, strong and peaceful."
…But yes, just a sentence for my feelings to let out, yet often it doesn't work naturally for me when others talk about Reshiram and/or other best favourite characters and stuff, which saddens me. >.< I am sorry, but "pow" really affects me. I know it doesn't to most people, but in my mind it does, and it's not really my fault that I never asked for it. :/ [shrugs]

I think you are going to struggle to convince people to stop using such an innocuous and commonly used word. Especially on a forum for a competitive game, where the relative strengths of Pokémon and cards are recurring topics.
And even if you succeeded in persuading all the regulars here to comply, new users join the forums all the time and are likely to use it in a variety of contexts.
I would suggest you might be better served attempting to desensitise yourself to it. Get used to encountering it in an environment where you feel as safe and comfortable as possible, then gradually expose yourself until it no longer bothers you.
That would not only help you here, but in your day to day life as well. Energy drinks and car washes must be a nightmare.

@AshleyGamer1995 If you would like to try to have people accommodate you, make a post to address it on your wall and it will show up below your name on your profile (I tried to find how to change the about me but I couldn't figure it out). This will never stop everyone and I can't guarantee it will change anything. You can't pick and choose words that others use.
If you want me to make sure to be careful with any words, message me, but don't expect everyone to do the same.
(TheJeffers put it quite bluntly, but I believe this is a bit nicer)
