Clarifications Regarding our Investigation Practices - Oct 10, 2024

We’d like to take this opportunity to provide some insight into how we handle reports and concerns within the community.   

When issues are brought to our attention, we take them seriously and conduct thorough reviews based on the information we receive. We exhaust multiple sources to ensure we have the clearest picture of the incident we possibly can, including reaching out to relevant parties or individuals close to the issue.  

We also want to reassure you: Play! Pokémon does not actively monitor social media posts, but we may take them into consideration for review should they be reported to us. For more information regarding this, please see our Standards of Conduct, specifically Section 3. 

Currently, we don't share the specifics or outcomes of our reviews, regardless of the incident or action taken for privacy reasons. While we understand that this can be frustrating, we are committed to keeping those specific details between us and anyone that goes through our review process.  If an individual chooses to share their Notice of Disciplinary Action or any additional information regarding communication with our teams, that is at the sole discretion of the individual.

If you are at an event and you have a negative experience, please don't hesitate to report it through our support portal at support.pokemon.com. Actions that violate our posted guidelines, including our Inclusion Policy, may lead to disciplinary action. We are all responsible for creating a safe and positive environment for our community, and therefore review every report sent to us. That is one of our commitments to you.

We thank you for the continued support and passion of our fans, competitors, and Professors in keeping our community spaces safe and respectful. While our processes are continuing to evolve, we hope that this provides at least a little more insight. We will continue toward our goal of more direct communication with you all and strive to do better for the community as we look towards the future.
