EX cards and friend battles.

Sometimes I regret migrating my account, just because I can't play any of my EX or MEGA EX cards in any gamemode, and even worse, I can only play standart with my friends, not expanded or custom decks that include out of format cards.
I really hate that all EX cards are just there as decoration, not to be used, do the game dev's have any plans to include gamemodes that allow out of format cards and other ways to play against your friends?
