I chose Geeta because she's a much more interesting character than Lance, at least in my opinion. Lance is boring. In terms of difficulty Lance definitely wins, but nothing in the poll says that it's about difficulty or strength.

Nothing says it's about character either. By what criteria are we judging them?
And Lance is a dragon tamer who fights crime in the games. He is presented as the final challenge in the first game, before the rival reveal, and is actually the champion in gen 2.
As an aside, why won't Blue/Green or Alder count for these brackets?

I can't believe people actually voted for Geeta. I felt like throughout my whole playthrough I was just like, "Wait… Who is she?" I feel like I was never incredibly intimidated at the prospect of fighting her, like I was with other champions like Leon in earlier games. I haven't even played gens one and two games, but I just hate Geeta so much that I voted for Lance. Also Lance was really cool in the mangas.

Geeta is literally a cake walk though my only experience with lance is the let’s go games he actually put up a hard fight as an elite 4 member
Geeta well let’s just say it was a clean sweep and I agree with @OlderAngel11 I was like who is she when I saw her throughout the story plus she literally ends her team with a setup Pokémon it just doesn’t work well plus
lance actually looks intimidating and a strong trainer like an elite 4 or champion should Geeta looks like a business woman though probably has a lot of power it is more in an economy way but not really Pokémon battles (how did she get that position) she doesn’t even have a proper league she just lets you become a champion instead of the champion who knows how many rules she gave out she is not even the strongest trainer in her region
