New to the tcg how do you build decks?
As the question states; I'm super new to the tcg. Been a pkmn fan since I was a kid but instead of playing with the cards i simply just collected them. A friend of mine told me about pkmn tcg live so i got it and decided to try it out. My question here is how do you go about building a deck? Like for example in yugioh you have a ratio of monsters v spells/traps so what's the ratio in the 60 card decks?
Oh and any additional information on building decks is greatly appreciated <3

Most decks have a ratio of around 20-30-10 for Pokemon, Trainers, and energy, however, many do things differently, for example, Japanese Ceruledge lists play more of a 10-30-20 ratio, and Lugia VSTAR plays a 20-20-20 ratio. I recommend using Limitless TCG to find decks you like before you start playing, however, I always recommend Miraidon ex and Charizard ex for beginners.

Ah I see! Thanks for the ratios and even for giving some start deck recommendations! :D Hopefully I can get good at this game. Oh one last question! i wanted to make a Maganium deck at some point, how would I go about collecting the cards if they're not on the shop? Or do I have to wait til the shop rolls it over?
