Jewel Hunt doesn’t work

Most games, when I evolve hoot hoot to Noctowl, nothing happens. I lose every game where this happens because I have one to two useless pokemon now and no way to get setup. This is a game breaking bug and is incredibly infuriating. Please fix.

edit: I’m saying the search breaks. The screen darkens as if I’m supposed to be searching, but I can’t interact with anything. Sometimes I can barely see the Valud/All tab at the bottom of the screen. I can’t interact with the until my turn times out and the screen clears.
