    I can’t I’m not the biggest fan of songs with words in games the only exception with this would be end credits


    -edit to add on it would just be weird to walk through route 102 and here voices singing I just like instrumental music during gameplay

    Honestly, I hated the ending song for SV. They just shoved in a random pop song from a famous person, and it does not fit. If they pull off the same trick with Z-A, I might just stop buying the games. Regardless of if the story is in the past or future, it would fit even less than in SV and would ruin any chances of having an emotional ending.

    In my opinion the only way to finish a good ending is with a credits song that makes you really feel the story and think about your journey, what happened, and all the characters you met along the way. Ones that make you realise you've just finished an amazing game. Like the ones in BW and SM. It makes the story feel a million times more emotional. But a pop song shoved in by force because someone famous sang it cannot do any of that. Imagine if you replaced one of those endings with a popular song from a famous pop artist. It would completely ruin how you feel after some of the most emotional endings in all of Pokémon. And I really hope they're not stupid enough to do that again because they made more money last time.

    If they ever do it again, I hope it's an actual Pokémon song, having references to songs that appear throughout the game in it, with fitting lyrics that are actually about the game instead of being vague enough for you to interpret it as being about the game and a genre that fits the story instead of just being pop. I think Celestial could've had a chance to not be completely awful if the game was less emotional with barely any story, or if they changed literally everything in the song.
