@jbryaniii 3DS/WiiU online has been practically shut down for a while now. Only some stragglers remain. At least Pokemon Bank/Transporter is still online.
@MajorBrendan I doubt that the Switch successor would have 3DS backwards compatibility because of how games are saved. The 3DS puts the save data on the cartridge while the Switch keeps it on the console, so that could be a major issue in implementing backwards compatibility for 3DS cartridges.

@puplover1118 maybe not but I intend to revive the 3ds legacy either way. and I'm referring to the successor to the nintendo switch 2 so I'm planning ahead of the game.
