Anyone has an idea how to set up new idea on how the pokemon game should start with? In my case, I would like to start off with the receptionist asking for the name and asking is the protagonist a boy or a girl. After the protagonist complete registration the receptionist recommend to get on the ship where the protagonist's personality will develop as well as the captain interviewing the protagonist with his/her rival asking why they have to go through with this with the captain clarify that the screening for pokemon trainer for the league has begun and they're already weeding out the ones he feel that aren't cut out as true pokemon trainers. Given the dangerous situation for the storm, the captain was originally waiting until they reach the destination but he plan to give the protagonist and the rival a starter pokemon to start out.

@clasingla It all depends. You can always breed said pokemon but the odds of getting a shiny starter at the start of the game will be a trillion to one.

probably the intro will have a dark shadow saying it’s almost complete then transitioning into the main theme and have the professor introduce the world of Pokemon and gives you your starter

@clasingla that's rather interesting. Could you provide a bit more detail so I can ensure you're proposing a unique pokemon adventure?

To be honest I prefer it when the game asks "what do you look like." instead of "are you a boy or a girl?". Or maybe "would you like to play as a boy or a girl?". Not everyone is going to pick the same option as their gender, and "are you a boy or a girl?" just sounds annoying.

Anyways, when it comes to the opening, I just want the title screen to display trailers after a few seconds of not pressing any buttons like the 3DS games did. It was super fun. I think that counts as part of the opening of the game? I mean, the title screen is the first thing you see when you open the game.

I'd like the option to start as a more experienced trainer, rather than a brand new one every time. You could skip the tutorial stuff and easier battles and jump straight into the action a little faster. It would be great for long term fan and repeat playthroughs.

Maybe this could also tie into a difficulty setting. More experienced trainers have higher level battles, gym leaders with more Pokémon on their teams at higher levels, and encounter stronger or more evolved wild Pokémon. Maybe the exp share and shift battle style could be disabled in that mode.

I doubt they would go this far, but maybe you could import save data from older games and it could affect your character and world in the new game, unlocking bonus scenes and extra characters, and allowing you previous protagonist(s) to be referenced by name.

@clasingla very interesting. What do you think of my proposed pokemon game opening. Breaks the whole protagonist moving into his/her room pattern when it comes to some real pokemon adventure, no?
