Most likely the flame on its candle would be its very life essence.

@MajorBrendan the question is whether the flame is purple-yellow or purple-orange (that is, whether the interior color of the flame is yellow or orange).

How are there so many different opinions on the color of this thing?

So it is purple-orange after all? Is this confirmed by the actual Pokemon Company and Pokemon creators as they are the one that designed it right?

I don't think there's ever going to be official content saying what colour the inside of a tiny flame on an unevolved Pokémon is.

I think it's that weird colour that's between yellow and orange. The one that looks like it'd be called both light orange and slightly dark yellow.

Well, I was asking @MajorBrendan for it about the official design coming from the Pokemon Company and Pokemon Creators though!?

I think that color you think it might be is called amber.
