Why didn't the Horizons anime get any movies? Are the Pokémon anime movies series dead yet?

@MajorBrendan OLM Team Kato did shut down, with Team Kumemura taking over from episode 46 of Pokémon Horizons. Although most of the staff were people from Team Kato, but we do have a new producer Makoto Kumemura, it is likely we might see a movie, but I wouldn't bet on it.

@Istiyaq understandable. I would like to see a New Pokemon movie either way.

Same thing with the Sun and Moon anime, why didn't we get any official Sun and Moon movies? The Power of Us and I Choose You, aren't Sun and Moon movies, they are just random movies that reflect on Ash's traveling journeys. Like I get it, it's Gen 7, it's a Pokemon school, but it doesn't mean that they just should dump movies like that, in fact, I would have loved to see more Sun and Moon movies. We could have had a movie like " Lunala vs. Solgaleo, the ultimate clash/showdown" or something, I know we had a Magearna movie in Gen 6, but usually Pokemon introduces legendary Pokemon in their movies, not in the anime series. Maybe they realized there were too many characters, and maybe there would have been less character development, especially since Ash has always hogged the spotlight. Why did we get Pokemon Journeys movies we never asked for, but we never got Alolan movies… like, nobody asked for a Diamond and Pearl Sinnoh movie remake. I'm glad Dawn returned… but no-

Horizons’ story isn’t something that would fit into a 90 minute movie.
There is a new movie in the works, something along the lines of “Dragonite and the Postman”. It was recently announced in Japan.
