(I know this post is innocent but it is not a good idea to state where you live, even vaguely, and it can be harmful and dangerous even though you don't think it seems like too bad or harmful of an idea right now)

I agree with @UnovanZorua, while it might be less harmful if you're in a large country, many countries would give the person's house away within a few miles, or less.

Normally I would caution people against giving away personal information on the internet. Especially any children here.
That was the rule when I was growing up, before social media broke people and we were all convinced to put our entire lives online for free by tech companies so that they could sell it for marketing.
I digress.
Just your country is probably not enough to track you. But I would not fault anyone for wanting to keep as much as possible private.
Better safe than sorry.
