I was going to say 5ban graphics but I felt that would be controversial

Yeah in my opinion 5ban graphics doesn’t necessarily have bad artwork but the normal artists could do it better.

@TheJeffers you have an amazing outlook in response to ops question comment. I absolutely agree with you and think tht you should be a spokesperson for pokemon simply based on your comment. Again thank you.

I am glad you found it interesting. I have played a lot of card games over the years and have a lot of love for many aspects of the medium, especially the art.

I don't think Pokémon would be too keen to hire me, though. I have been a very open critic of the recent Pokémon games. Out of love and a desire to see them improve and achieve their massive potential, of course, but critical none the less.

Winds and Waves looks like a step in the right direction, so I am very cautiously optimistic and looking forward to seeing more.

I would love to love Pokémon games again.

I disagreed with you in the past, but I feel like I now completely understand what you mean.

Pokemon despite being the highest grossing media franchise just feels corporate and lazy. The games are the entire reason the franchise is alive, yet they're not given the budget neccesary for proper development times.

    It's entirely about the merchandising.

Hopefully WIWA is as good as it's been shown to be so far.

I think at its core Pokémon suffers from its own success. The games are not even the main profit arm of the business, though they are hugely profitable. The merchandise will carry them through, not to mention the massive card game boom.

They do not invest the time and money to make the games as good as they could be because they don't have to. Where is the incentive when they top sales charts regardless?

But I do think it is a short sighted busineas plan. Nostalgia for the better games will carry them for a time, but not forever. Eventually, after enough poor quality games, even the most disconnected fan will notice the drop in quality and move on.

Maybe WiWa will right the ship, but I am assuming nothing until we have more information and real gameplay on a real Switch 2.
