Greeting Trainers!

The Pokémon TCG Live client will be in maintenance mode starting tomorrow at 8 AM PT to apply another hotfix. We expect an estimated downtime of 7 hours. Should that time be extended, we will update the messaging here. See below for a list of all changes and updates made to the client.

The game will be updated to a new version and you will need to update your client or redownload it from the Canadian site here: https://tcg.pokemon.com/en-ca/tcgl/

NEW - We're aware of an issue where certain cards which will add to your collection from a shop bundle or code card redemption will not be playable. You'll receive a deck validation error when attempting to save these cards in a Standard format deck.

  • Lucario V (SWSH213)
  • Lucario VSTAR (SWSH214)
  • Rowlet (SWSH220)
  • Cyndaquil (SWSH221)
  • Oshawott (SWSH222)
  • Morpeko V-UNION (SWSH215, SWSH216, SWSH217, and SWSH218)

Downtime for Pokémon TCG Live has been extended to 5 PM PT.

NEW - Pokemon TCG Live is now back online!

Hotfix Changes:

Players were able to create Standard format decks that did not require a basic Pokémon.

  • Fix added so that deck validation rules are working as intended and a basic Pokémon is required for Standard format deck creation.

Elesa's Sparkle allowed players to attach two energy cards to a single Pokémon.

  • Fix added so now Elesa’s Sparkle will only be allowed to attach one energy per Pokémon selected.

Elesa’s Sparkle only allowed players to attach energy to benched Pokémon.

  • Fix added so now Elesa’s Sparkle can be attached to benched & active Fusion Strike Pokémon.

Elesa’s Sparkle allowed players to search for Fusion Strike Energy before needing to select a Fusion Strike Pokémon.

  • Fix added so now Elesa’s Sparkle will require you to select Fusion Strike Pokémon before searching for Fusion Strike Energy.

There was an issue where ability and attack boxes were incorrectly displayed. Occasionally, these boxes would persist into new games which caused the inability to interact with the game board or select certain cards.

  • Fix added so now the ability and attack boxes are completely removed after each match. This allows players the ability to select cards and interact with the game board normally.

Players were unable to collect their League rewards from a new League without first playing a new match.

  • Fix added so players can now access the League rewards at any time for the proper League they are in.

When using the Intrepid Sword ability, opponents, as well as players, were revealed drawn cards.

  • Fix added so now the Intrepid Sword ability only reveals cards to the player.

Some shop bundles, including the Arceus bundle, were not displaying the large preview art correctly.

  • Fix added so now all large preview art should reflect the correct art for each Pokémon thumbnail.

Thank you again for your patience while we continue to investigate and work on other issues.

This is great communication! Thanks for sharing this @TPCi_CursedSoup

Also, this is like the third Thursday in a row where we’ve gotten some kind of maintenance, and I find that consistency super encouraging! I’ve also been finding the app functioning well lately and these fixes will be well appreciated if they work as planned. I’m starting to feel excited about the possibility of a wider release in time for the next set. Keep up the great work!

Thanks for the patch notes in advance, they're hugely appreciated! Hopefully the ability/attack boxes fix solves a couple cards that break out at times; I've noticed it quite a bit playing Lucario, specially Evolution Incense and Cinccino's ability with enough/proper cards in deck (which sounds like they might be affected by this, though not sure).

    ---

As a side note, it'd be nice if we could eventually get some page/post with known issues, mostly so people can check there before making another post about it :)

Yeah, this wasn't fixed... If you guys can't actually fix this you have to cancel the game. It cannot release with this glitch. It shouldn't have even gone into beta with this glitch.

Hi @TPCi_CursedSoup, do you read the posts on this forum? Do you report bugs that are reported here back to the development team?
