I'm so sick of seeing all these threads posted by the exact same guy… On the EXACT SAME TOPIC. WE HAVE GONE OVER THIS. SNORLAX IS NOT THE BDIF.

I don't know how you think this! It's not even that good right now! There's a reason that there are about seven decks in front of it on the most popular deck rankings. Giratina beats it unquestionably. So does Lost Box. Roaring moon also beats it up like crazy. And Mew VMAX— which I know you call cringe but it is not— also can defeat it!

Stallax is not the only stall deck that has ever existed. In 2021 we had Excadrill/Cinccino Control, which was most definitely better (Jessie&James, Lt. Surges Strategy, Reset Stamp, And Chip-Chip Ice Axe are all banned from expanded).
here is a sample deck list.

    Pokémon - 20

    2 Excadrill UNM 119
    3 Drilbur CEC 114
    4 Cinccino SSH 147
    4 Minccino SSH 145
    1 Absol TEU 88
    1 Giratina UNM 86
    1 Jirachi TEU 99
    1 Marshadow UNB 81
    1 Mew UNB 76
    1 Snorlax VIV 131
    1 Weezing HIF 29

    Trainer Cards - 37

    4 Professor's Research (Professor Magnolia) SSH 178
    2 Boss’s Orders (Giovanni) RCL 154
    2 Jessie & James HIF 58
    2 Klara CRE 145
    2 Lt. Surge’s Strategy UNB 178
    1 Bird Keeper DAA 159
3 Path to the Peak CRE 148
    4 Crushing Hammer SSH 159
    4 Level Ball BST 129
    3 Quick Ball SSH 179
    3 Reset Stamp UNM 206
3 Scoop Up Net RCL 165
    2 Chip-Chip Ice Axe UNB 165
    1 Echoing Horn CRE 136
    1 Tool Scrapper RCL 168

    Energy - 3

    3 Fighting Energy Energy 6

    Total Cards - 60

    In 2019 we had Articuno-GX/Pidgeotto/Girafarig
(Pleas note, that in addition to the cards mentioned previously, the Oranguru used in this deck is banned from expanded)

    Pokémon - 18

    2 Articuno-GX CES 31
    4 Pidgeotto TEU 123
    4 Pidgey TEU 121
    2 Girafarig LOT 94
    4 Oranguru UPR 114
    1 Ditto ◇ LOT 154
    1 Mew UNB 76

    Trainer Cards - 38

    4 Professor Elm’s Lecture LOT 188
    2 Cynthia UPR 119
    2 Lt. Surge’s Strategy UNB 178
    2 Mars UPR 128
    2 Tate & Liza CES 148
    1 Brock's Grit TEU 135
    2 Power Plant UNB 183
    4 Acro Bike CES 123
    4 Crushing Hammer UPR 166
    4 Pokégear 3.0 UNB 182
    3 Custom Catcher LOT 171
    2 Chip-Chip Ice Axe UNB 165
    2 Pal Pad UPR 132
    2 Pokémon Communication TEU 152
    2 Reset Stamp UNM 206

    Energy - 4

    3 Water Energy Energy 3
    1 Recycle Energy UNM 212

    Total Cards - 60

    This tells us two things,

1: Strategies revolving around decking someone out have existed for a long time.
2: None of the cards used in the stallax deck are banned from expanded, so stalax is not as effective as past stall decks have been. If you are going to hate on a deck, please make it one that is using cards that are banned.

@emcees I really like that you pointed out that about the banned cards. 5 Cards got banned from that Excadrill deck!

both of your points are completely irrelevant. snorlax can be the bdif and also have low representation because luckily the top players for the most part are showing some semblance of self respect. and past formats' stall decks have nothing to do with this one and idk why you wasted ur time typing all that

If it's any consolation blocklax was in fact nerfed hard by battle vip pass being rotated out of standard - you'd be stuck with nest ball which means less deck space for tech cards. And the standard deck list with bvp was already inconsistent. No path anymore either, for people who were running that.

Snorlax can be beat, especially by decks like Lugia, ArcTina, Gholdengo or Ancient Box. You just gotta make sure to not bench Pokemon that can't attack against it or other Pokemon that Snorlax stall uses and maybe have a few switch out cards.
